BA 6.6 commander explosion too loud

The sound plays (at least on Linux) with heavy distortion. This seems to be because newboom.wav is in stereo. I converted the file into mono and now it plays fine.
I hope this could be fixed for the next BA release.

Same here. The explosion sounds are way to loud in comparison to the other sounds/other apps

Everybody can install it already, by creating a "sounds" folder in your spring install directory and putting that soundfile in it. It'll override the sound from the mod
