Yeah I was too lazy to post, but ShoX sent me a screencap of two com outlines in the water behind Speedball. Kinda creepy tbh.

Any devs care to comment on this?

Well the water one is a strange bug with water 4 (which IIRC has been fixed in svn). Use water 3 as a temp fix for that.

Which happens to also be broken due to the refraction bug. XD

First water bug is fixed in svn, but i have never seen anything like the second bug

ATI mebbe? try using ati hacks; enable it in registry
Edit:
I dont see what the bug is in the screen shots on titan, please elaborate

I have a Geforce 8800 GTS so it's not an ATI issue.
Slightly more description of what's happening in the second batch:
Screen 13/14 - Theres a wide (1/3 of the screen or so) vertical 'shadow' rendered down the map. It doesn't look too bad in the screenie but it was flickering all over the place. It's gone in screen 14, for comparison.
Screen 15/16 - Same game on titan, the terrain flickers between normal rendering and the whole map going black.
Screen 17/18 - This seems to be the root cause of the issues - the wierd glitches seem to start in the top left corner of the map. See also screens 23-25, looks like a similar bug. Looking closer at screen 23, the pattern rendered in the top left corner looks suspiciously similar to the heightmap of the map there....
Screen 20-22 - The weird minimap icon shapes also seem to get somehow rendered blended with the grass on a number of maps.

I think I see what you mean with the dark flashes, is it similar to this?
http://spring.clan-sy.com/mantis/view.php?id=1098
Also, does it only happen when you move the camera?

Probably not - I don't have shadows enabled and use a Geforce card. The 'dark stripes' artifacts continued to move around even when the camera was still.
The black-map effect seemed to be somehow affectd by camera movement (especially zooming), though it would still sometimes flicker when the camera was still.

I have a similar issue as in those last screenshots.
Just today I have noticed that on some maps, I get weird lines
g
They would randomly appear and disappear, then started to appear as I zoomed out/in with mousewheel.
If I zoomed right out, I got this;
Just played a game at Tempest map, and the same happened about 10 seconds into the game, so I resigned and when in spectator mode the crosshatch lines were kinda jumping/pulsing in a diagonal motion.
I have an ATI card, x1950xt
edit: Just tried the same Tempest map again, same problem just appeared at around 5 mins 40 seconds

I've not seen anything like that, but the way you describe zooming in and out to cause it, and that first screenshot make me suspect it's the same issue, or closely related.

Your first screenshot looks similar to my last one, so yeh I guess it's related.
The weird thing is that I haven't changed anything, just played more CA/PW, which means I've played maps other than DSD.
It only seems to do it with certain maps.

Found a related issue, and a possible cause.
Water.
A few days ago I started to notice a bug on certain maps (emain macha being one).
When loading, at the "finalizing" stage, it would wait a few seconds longer than usual, then when it fully loaded, in-game I would have literally 1 frame every 5 seconds, I also noticed a weird blue line, someone else in-game also had this bug and commented on the blue line.

I was advised to do /water 0, but I was already using mode 0, so I tried /water 1. Problem solved.
Since then, I have been getting this new bug, so I just tried running a replay on one of the new maps that give me glitches (eye of horus). /water 0 fixes the bug, /water 1 causes it!
Also, doing /water 1, the puddles disappear.
To summarise:
water 0 -> causes 0 FPS on certain maps, fixes weird graphics bug
water 1 -> causes weird graphics bug on other certain maps, fixes 0 FPS on certain maps bug

Do you have the fps manager on in CA? it could be setting your water to other values when it feels the game can take it.

No, I don't have FPS manager enabled, I once tried it in BA and it just totally slowed down my game by trying to turn up settings.

I may be imaginig this, but I have a feeling I was using ?bump mapped? water originally, I recently switched to reflective and and I haven't seen the lines/black terrain issues since...

Anyone got any ideas on how to fix this?
To summarise:
water 0 gives me this:
http://www.zen23322.zen.co.uk/images/fo ... cabug6.jpg and 0 FPS on some maps.
water 1 fixes the above problem but gives me this
http://www.zen23322.zen.co.uk/images/fo ... cabug2.jpg
http://www.zen23322.zen.co.uk/images/fo ... ngbug3.JPG
http://www.zen23322.zen.co.uk/images/fo ... /cabug.jpg
Seems to do it when I zoom in and out, switches between each of those weird graphics bugs.
Maps without water are problem free.
Workaround

Found a workaround: I disabled 'LUAshaders' and now (with water 1) it doesn't give the weird graphics bug, BUT I still get 0 FPS when using water 0, which is nolonger a problem really.
