Hold Z to select the same types of unit only.

Examples:
- Select 1 nano turret, hold Z and drag a box, only nano turrets in the box get selected.
- Select 1 flash tank, 1 stumpy, hold Z and drag a box, only flash tanks and stumpies in the box get selected.

Basically like a localized ctrl-Z.

If anyone can suggest ways to make this better please let me know

Hmm, pretty good :)
Its unfortunate I have Z and shift Z bound to building hotkeys...
As an alternative, I edited a selection key (alt+Z) that selects all of selected type on screen, and I just zoom in/out for box (screen) size.

Nice widget, but I think using selection buttons widget is probably easier.

example: Select box of units, click the box of the unit type you want.

I have Z bound to select all units on screen of same type as selected (like default ctrl-z but only on screen).

Selectbuttons widget is also useful when I select a small square of units but there's something selected that I don't want like a constructor, a small structure, etc. Just right-click on that type in the selectbuttons and it will remove all of them from your selection.

So that's how it works. I tried CTRL-leftclick which didn't work.

i use ctrl+w to selelect all units of same type on current screen, so its fast localized ctrl+z. If i need smaller box i zoom in ;)

Is this bound to the letter "Z" or to the key's position on the keyboard?
