Do you even play this game?

It's impossable to see what's going on, the interface is so flawed that it makes it impossable to even try to play.
When the cammera is faceing stright forward you can't do anything because of the weird angle.
But if you put the cammera at an angle like every RTS game ever made the scrolling (like moving the mouse to the top of the screen) doesn't work cause it moves it in like a zoom.
And the mouse scroller moves the cammera up and down... what's the use of that?

This seemed project seems like good idea, but make it at least playable!

Wow that's much better, why isn't that the default mode?

Also, now I've noticed that all the non build buttons have no picture (attack, move, cloak, all those)... I'm assumeing this is a bug?
It was confuseing as hell trying to figure out how to issue commands to a unit cause all that appeard was a blank box till I found that if I pointed at it the tip text appeared at the bottom.

Do you have a Radeon 9200 by chance? If so, it's a known bug with that model of card, though I don't think anyone's figured out what causes it yet.

Yah 9200.... that's a really weird bug. Why would those pictures be any diffrent then the ones for building structures.

Also, so far I've only heard one sound in the game, the noise from selecting multiple things at once. No noise from building units or from attacking, nothing.

Edit:N/M Apperntly that's the only noise that isn't based on zoom level. I was just zoomed to far out.
Now it's starting to feel like T/A :)

I am playing the game too, and the camera dose takes some getting used to. I use the FPS mode, its the easiest for me after i practiced for a few house in single player. Spring is fun, but i keep losing to Brawler rushes and nukes (much to my chagrin)

i always forget to ask about this, but does anyone else think that the sounds fade out too quickly when zooming out? also, i dont think it makes sense that the sounds of say, selecting your commander, should fade out also as this isnt really a battle sound or anything like that...

Definitly agree here, post about this in the dev forum and Buggi can help with this...

Very good question....

If the devs changed a few things around in spring (just the defaults), people would be able to get into it easier (and thats the truth). Currently, I believe a lot of people try it but just give up because of stuff like this. Its truly sad.

How do you turn in FPS mode? I always find myself using Total War mode instead so that I can look around (but like you say, only when spectating).

press middle mouse button and twist camera how you desire then press again and the view will be fixed like that and moving the mouse should shift the screen to the left/right depending on how you adjusted the camera...its difficult to explain just faff about with it a bit...

I've had people quit midgame because of the camera controls, yes. If there a hotkey for "every damn RTS mode"?

Shilft + J (or shift+middle mouse button) changes the camera to the original TA camera mode. I wish it would come as default because it took some time to figure out and I havent seen any documentation on this.
