Hi i compiled and installed spring and springlobby. Everything seems to work fine. I can host and play against AI. No problems so far.

Online I can join the server download maps/mods search battles - join battles, but as soon as the battle starts - the gamewindow popps up and says

[ 0] Connecting to server .
[ 0] Connecting to server
...
[ 0] Connecting to server .
[ 0] Connecting to server
[ 0] Server not reachable

What am i doing wrong? This happens to many different hosts. Is not a problem of the host, its a local problem. I am able to play under windows. So i dont think its s ISP or router problem but a linux (or spring problem)

Try to turn off downloader (i.e. tools ->Manually stop the torrent system). Torrent does stop on game start, but some routers seem to have weird problem anyway.

or just try different games since some people don't forward their ports therefore none is able to connect to them ...

i think the downloader if disabled by default. buy i will recheck. and about the hosts: other people are able to connect. the problem has to be local

Could it be pretty much all UDP traffic (except DNS, I presume) is blocked for some reason (by router, ISP, ...) ?
