New Map - Eye_Of_Horus !

This is new map called Eye_Of_Horus

It was meant to be "scifi" mysterious planet, but ended up being just a desert :>

Whatsoever, more important is the gameplay... So please tell me your experiences and feelings about the map!

It is mixed vechile and kbot map with various chokepoints (tall hills and tiny craters)

The issue what ive been struggling is that how is it supposed to be played. I mean should it be north vs south (as the start positions are now defined) or north vs south? Is it suitable for FFA games ?

A modification of this could become a really nice replacement for Painted Desert Remake. Just make sure the choked areas are large and frequent enough for around 16 mini-bases.

So far best games have been 2v2. 1v1 is ok too but can get a bit challenging for economy. 3v3 - 4v4 games less played...

This map is quite nice for IW (only played it 1v1), but I do feel like it is very expansion heavy, and in turn becomes very resource heavy towards the end. Also, I like how you have tried to create an interesting situation with the middle, being resource heavy but divided from starting positions; but it seems to an extent the richness of each player's hinterlands, and the richness of the flanks somewhat dilute the need to take the middle. Taking the middle imposes risks that I don't think are rewarded accordingly in terms of relative resources compared to what's available elsewhere on the map (at less risk).

Impressive, itd be great fi you could make a slew fo different maps in this style so we have a nice set

Yes I noticed same issue, which however seems to be problem only in 1v1 games, especially with comends... Going middle is risky because most of troop flow goes through it and there is bad radar coverage. (Dunno exactly whats the deal with IW)

In bigger game like 3v3 - 4v4 middle becomes actually compushing (bad or good thing? Can't say...) As also in bigger games role of kbots becomes more decisive when they can climb up the hills and reach the enemy base easiest.

What Do you mean ? Should I make various maps with this theme (like texture) but different layouts and heightmaps ?

This is a VEHICLE MAP? Maybe on BA since vehicles >>> kbots.

I liked the pictures, I hated all the puddles. That ruined the map for me.

Metal distribution is better imo than previous maps. It has a more chaotic feel to it.
Just like titan duel,that map has nice metal spots.
Not the old obvious 3 spots per player layout.

Maybe a map with many metal free spots?so youd have a few metal spots in certain specific areas but youll also have vast places which are metal free.
