Play Spring over NAT ??

Hi,
I am at a LAN and I was trying to play Spring with a friend online behind the same router. When I play Spring at home I don't have any problems, however, it didn't work now. The problem is:
* when we join the same game, usually neither me nor him can connect to the server
* sometimes one of us can connect to the server but the other doesn't
* one time (out of ~10) we could both connect (but then the teams weren't set right).
Afterwards we tried out to forward the 8452 UDP and TCP ports and I hosted a 2vs2 game. Now he and one of the other players could connect to me but the fourth player could not.
What is going on here? Is it possible to play online with two players behind the same router at all?
PS:
Sorry for posting in the wrong category... can somebody move the topic? Thanks.
