Spring RTS Engine

My spring downloader will not work.

Whenever I enter the lobby i get a message "couldnt execute spring downloader" and when i try to download something via lobby such as a map, it tells me download fail. A little help?

EDIT + UPDATE: I just downloaded the spring lobby client, and when i tried to use the spring downloader there, it actually worked!!!!!! Maybe theres a glitch with the other client thingy that made it dont work, idk.

check if you have springdownloader.exe at all. look in the directory you installed spring to.

I found it there but when i clicked on it it said

"This application failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect"

Do you have .NET framework installed? I think you need at least .NET 1.1, but be on the safe side and install .NET 2.0 and 3.5.

I installed them yesterday.

I recommend to DELETE SpringDownloader.

Delete spring downloader? Is that a joke?

well, downloader uses conf file and some stuff in registers.
try to delete registers keys via regedit

Downloader does not need VC++ redistributable or special registry keys.

It only need .NET framework..
If it does not work your machine configuration for framework is probably corrupted.
Fixing it is likely beyong your skills so you have to wait until windows reinstall i guess..

Also you can try it in another folder - just copy springdownloader.exe and nothing more.

The widget listbox in the widget module has an horizontal scrollbar and it doesn't feel convenient or natural. What do you think making this list scrolling verticaly instead ?

Btw, spring is just in the spring downloader folder, not in eny sub-folder, so what new folder should it be?
