How do you play CORE in the random enemies script mode?

yeps... how to do that?

there is no core commander when in spawn mode..

so cheat has no use.

ive heard you can ask for units?
like a ".give corecomm" command? is that possible?

I think we just need to ask the SYs nicely to add a second random enemies script which is identicle but gives you a Core commander. Another easy fix would be to have 1000/1000 resources at the start so that you can pratice your start up better - it gets you into bad habits having gazillions of metal and energy from the start!

True but at 1k/1k the spawn AI would have to be tuned down a bit!!! give 1min or so to build basic defense or at least get a plant" :)

It's true that another easy fix would be to ship a spawn.txt which is a smidgen less severe than the current one... where it don't matter how rich you are, you're gonna die ;-)

However since that's something we can fix ourselves (and if not, is available for download on FU) I don't think it's quite such high priority as having a CORE script and having 1000/1000 resources - which we can't fix ourselves =)

Actually, we can rather easily. It'd take a custom version of the exe to make it 1k/1k, but to be Core you just have to extract taenheter.ccx and change SIDE0 in the sidedata.tdf file to use the corcom instead of the armcom and repack.
