Torrenting it now... I'll probably watch it tommorow... not available officially outside of North America but I'm sure it's around... I think they are just trying to get statistics on the effect the movie has...
edit: acctually it seems the point is that MM has a new book and is using the internet for viral marketing by giving away a movie he was unable to sell to theaters... either way... gotta like anyone giving stuff away for free... and the title is cool.

See this is what I thought when I started my free anthrax distribution campaign. People can be so ungrateful!

You know what? I used to really like Moore, back in the Clinton days.
I think the Bush admin and 9/11 sent him a wee bit off the deep end.

I think you'd be pretty pissed if you spent all your time trying to make people understand the world's most powerful leader was guilty of criminal misconduct, war-mongering for profit and conspiring with terrorists (Bushes and Bin Ladens being business partners after all) and the entire response from mainstream Americans is "you're fat".

He could look after his appearance better. It may lend him more credibility.

It would spoil his main tactic of being too damn heavy for security guards to drag him out of lobbies. Seriously you should see him as a giant fucking chicken in "The Awful Truth". If he were skinny he'd have been "plucked" out of most of those places in 2 seconds flat.

You have to remember that part of his approach is that he's trying to be joe working class dude from Michigan. An ill-shaven dork with a trucker cap and a gut. Which made sense in the early '90s when his life as such was pretty recent.... but once you've got a few documentaries and TV shows under your belt it's hard to paint yourself as just another guy.
And yeah, I can't really blame him for going a little nuts... but his work really suffered for it. Zanier conspiracy theories, more rage, less funny... Fahrenheit 9/11 just kinda... sucked. I mean, BfC had a little bit of the nasty mudslinging in it, but the overall thesis and approach of the movie was cool "Other countries have guns and do just fine - why are Americans having so much trouble with them? Maybe because of all this obsessive fear". I loved "Downsize This" back in the '90s, as well as his various TV stunts (like holding a funeral-rehearsal for a guy dying of kidney failure that his health plan wouldn't cover... in the lobby of the insurance company's main offices).
