Spring RTS Engine

happens sometimes same server a game later i cant connect.
i stuck at the screen connecting to server. after 30 secs it close itself.

someone a mention what it is?


im running vista 32bit
c2d 3,3 gb ram (4 * 1gb)
88gt
dsl light (45 kb up, 10 kb down)
Speedport w700v router
using the onboard ethernet card.

Host's fault, he has a firewall.

no its not host fault im the only one who cant connect!

like i described, a game further i connected....


so what is that bug about ???

Lol I dunno and I don't think anyone else does then, its a really strange bug.

iv saw some threads here in forum with same prob.

it sucks 1 from 7 games i have that bug.
u wait till game start and then u cant join.

its since they changed something, a year ago or so...

I have the same problem, and it's happening more and more often. Now I can't connect more often than I can.

If anyone has any ideas, they would be much appreciated!

today i can connect to 2 of 4 games...its causing a lot of pbs.

what system all of u have and what OS are u running.

wich router ?
wich ethernet card onboard etc...

do u opened spring ports ? i did... perhaps a bug with router ?!?!

The problem is you don't recieve any data from the game server. This is usually a problem of your / the hosts network hardware.

Things you can do (when you can't join other games)
Log in to your router or hardware firewall.

Disable everything which sound like Flood Protection

or add your computer to the DMZ.

IMHO its a sw-related bug, because when i reinstall spring it goes back to normal /100% gamas i can connect/.

There is not much the exe can do about it. It keeps sending packets to the adress given by the lobby, and waits till it gets something in return. Everything else depends on your OS, hardware, router or ISP.
