Not to burst anyone's bubble, but don't we need a proper music player for spring first?
Though perhaps the music can inspire the creation of the player...hmm.

Theres already a LUA script that chooses music from the original OTA soundtrack, you could easily change that to accomodate any music you want to hear.

There needs to be a folder in the spring directory labled music. any music put into this folder will be read by spring and played when in game by LuA. when spring is downloaded a package will come with the download called music. if ticked (ticked is default) the downloader will download the music into the music folder for a wide range of new TASpring songs. players can also put there own music in to this folder aswell.

another idea to that of ota is when you start you have 1 type of music. if you get attacked, you get type 2. to TASpring, in the music folder tha could be another 3 folder these would divide the types of music into type 1, type 2 etc. so when the player is being attacked or the game is starting off the lua will select a random piece of music from the necisary folder and play it.

just a couple of ideas.

yeah, that it is some sort of mass promotion effort is noticeable imo. Otoh it's only been 36 hours since the initial post and who cares if we get some free music out of it

Yes I'm from Germany and you can't download the music...

I can only upload 5 Tracks but I have more then 50
but some Tracks are very old, the oldest is from summer '07
