Spring RTS Engine

I go to school at the U.S. Naval Academy and as such we have very tight network controls. I have never had any problem with connecting to servers to play games before spring, though. So what I'm asking for is someone who may have experienced a similar problem connecting to the spring server from within a network like my school's, and if possible a solution to this problem.

I have no problem with a typical fps, or any game that connects to a server in-game, but trying to connect to the spring client or something like hamachi gives me trouble.

You shouldn't have any trouble with spring. AFAIK both the lobby and the main game simply need your PC to open an outbound connection to the server, which is what other 'normal' games will do too... Presumably you can't ask the network admins for help / troubleshooting?

can you give a game name which works ?
