Dual-Screen with Nvidia and Windows

Is someone able to use the dual-screen mode with windows and the current nvidia drivers? I cant find the "span mode" anymore which seems to be needed for spring.
Would it be a hassle to implement a "real" dual-screen mode in spring so OpenGL would initialize two seperate displays? This would be awesome since you would not have to change your display driver to "span-mode" every time you want to play spring.
If the devs say something like "easy as pie" I would even dare a try for myself.

horizontal span is in the nvidia control panel where you choose the multiple display mode
I'd show you but I'm using older drivers on my windows box

This is how it looks. Its Vista64 and Nvidia Drivers 175.16.
"Mehrere Anzeigen einrichten" means "Setup multiple displays".
You can choose between three modes: 1. "Einzelanzeige" = "Single-Screen" 2. Clone and 3. Dualview, which I am using now.
I cant find anything there for span mode
But besides that I am still interested in the a dual-screen mode which initializes two displays.

nvidia drivers for vista simply don't support span anymore.

Ok, thx, so I can scratch this for now :/
Maybe somone has a vague idea of what had to be done to get "real" dual-screen support? I think it is even more important now since Vista's Nvidia drivers do not support span-mode at all.

I think you'd need two separate windows... dunno exactly, never seen any app that does two displays in fullscreen with 3d graphics.

Except the 2nd window (potentially) wouldn't have to be 3d, since it could just be a big 2d minimap and maybe some other info. Of course, making it non 3d would probably be harder than making it 3d....
