I know TA Spring is being ported over to Linux, but what about a stand alone server? I have a linux server, and I want to host games off of it. Is there already, or a plan to make a standalone server for linux?
If not, does anyone know if I can run TASpring under Wine(until the port is done)?

Sorry if this already explained somewhere else, I tried to find it. :?

It runs in Cedega, although I haven't tried wine.

Standalone servers don't exist yet, but it would be cool to see them start to exist. It could potentially eliminate the router issues involved with hosting games.

the fobbah client can be used as a standalone server.
well its not finished, you cant ally... and has more bugs. but can work as that.
thats its strong point.
you only have to...
run the daemon, join to the server machine's ip... open ports... (or disable fw)...
run one instance of .. lobbyhost...
then it should work.
btw, you can report bugs to him, so he can fix.

its java.. but the daemon is for win... maybe the config files you can borrow..

i think it works with any irc server anyhow.
