Amazon already makes it insanely easy to spend money on their site; now you can easily spend money on other sites too! :P

This is good stuff; there'll be a few hiccups in the immediate future prolly (there always are with new stuff) but Amazon's customer service record is way better than paypal's, and they already have a giant user base they can leverage - basically if you already have an amazon account, you can easily pay money on sites that have Payments by Amazon accounts.

Spring-devs get on dat shit! :P

There's the Paypal competitor :o)

---------------------------

On another note, the days of micropayments will soon be coming. The problem is that credit agencies charge unnecessary amoutns of $$$ for verification and processing; that's where most of the fees come into play.... if a paypal alternative gains significant traction, who knows...? :)

What's bad about paypal?
In fact I would have bought a lot of stuff from amazon already if they had supported simple money transfer and not just creditcards in holland, or paypal.

I recently bought an item off ebay for $170 and the company decided to declare bankruptcy or something and not send it to me after I paid. I made a complaint to paypal and somehow a few weeks later I got the money back. I was very pleased with paypal for that.

I've never had trouble with PayPal, but I know people who have had serious problems and lost or had 'frozen' for a long period thousands of pounds. Also their 4% fee is too high for large transactions.
