I caer :/ i like EE, it has an awesome sense of style :D
dont listen to the "i cant tell the units apart" crowd, im genuinely surprised that some people can eat a meal without maiming or killing someone or themselves

IT doesnt take long to "get" the units. EE is great in that it has a whole playable game that isn't TA plus/minus 1.
So yes, I care.

EE wasn't balanced, but it had great potential. In light of all the shiny stuff people like Forb, Argh, S44 Team, and IW team are bringing out though, you're right.
You need serious help.

Before the hiatus, EE was my favourite mod. After the hiatus, I could never get a game together to play it again.
Seriously, I think the whole community is too fixated on texturing anyways. It's an RTS - you won't be seeing the units close enough for an ugly texture to matter anyways.
edit: I'd volunteer my meagre Lua skills if I weren't ignoring too many projects already.

1. I cant play spring
what kind of computer do you have? i cant think of any computer that cant run spring, and if thats the problem, just buy one, and if money is the problem, just buy a crappy one with 1ghz or something, cheap and it runs spring
go EE!

I hate having only one of me able to contribute to one thing at a time. Can someone find a way to pull me's from parallel dimensions? I want the all code and all art versions of me ready to tap.

6/10.. nice job you almost had me.. but try a bit harder next time..
As far as my computer, it can run spring, but I cant play because at a random amount of time spring will cause my computer to freeze. This forces me to hard reboot and makes it generally impossible to play through a full game since I have no idea when my computer will freeze, it could be 5 minutes in, it could be 30.. it might not even happen, but the fact that it is very likely too makes me not inclined to try..

),

I'm pretty sure Fang covered all the reasonable elements, he's competent.
Otherverse Smoth... I sense cross-over fan fiction.
I would think Lurker was the man to go to for LUA.

I had that back when I used a GeForce card on a mobo that couldn't supply enough power. Yeah, it sucks, all I could play was Homeworld with software rendering and interlace mode enabled (and even that went down after an hour or so).

This raises the obvious question: is it just Spring, or any other games that suffer from this issue?

Open source it. You will get more help than you need or want.

And also more people with conflicting views on how shit should be done that boil down into ca-like revert wars ~~

CA only has revert-war problems because they're very open with allowing anybody to edit the main SVN. You can have an open-source project where you keep the SVN private and accept contributions through yourself... and if anybody wants to make a fork, they're free to set up their own SVN.

Why? That was the most interesting and fun thing in the whole mod. Plus, it introduced all of us to the potential of the lua morph gadget.
