Spring RTS Engine

Hello, i hope someone has a solution to my problem:

i created a map with isles and cliffs and the shadows are dcrap somehow.
All settings seem to make the shadow too huge cause of the high cliffs.
What i need i Sunlight from directly above or something so there are less and short shadows.....

Just make the y (number 2) component larger than the others 0 1 0 is straight up but im not sure if its entierly happy with that (0 1 0.01 or something might be better)

I toyed with the sunlight system for about 5 hours today...
