No Mods listed for single player

I'm trying to play a single player game and cannot get any mods to show up. I'm running Ubuntu Hardy and installed all the spring via synaptic.

I can see all the maps I added, can add bots with AI but for the "Mod:" drop down all that is listed is --Select one-- with no other choices.

When I hit start I get a "Gamesetup error" with the following message:
"You have to select a mod first."

What am I missing?

got that and thanks for the link. Where do I copy the "mod" files to so the system will see them?

OK I thought I had it...

I downloaded several of the mod files from the link above and dropped them into the "Spring Directory" as set in the springlobby -> options

Spring directory: /home/telstone/spring/<mod files here>

no luck... :(

Where do the mod files need to be and / or how do you import them.

@forb: you didn't see he's running linux, right?

telstone: http://spring.clan-sy.com/wiki/Ubuntu_install#Mods

it seems you didn't put them in a mods subdir in ~/.spring/ ?

Thanks for the quick responses

awesome... one step closer to annihilation. Now I get the mods loading but when I hit start I'm getting a new error:

taskbar title: [xmessage]
window title: cursornormal
text: Missing default cursor

so close...

Almost looks like a x11 issue but not 100% sure.
