Problem starting a game.

Whenever I try to start a game with Spring (I am running it on Mandriva Linux One Spring 2008) I always get a ¨couldnt find any mod files¨ message.
Download a mod, for instance BA6.31 http://spring.jobjol.nl/show_file.php?id=1113 or CA http://www.caspring.org/ (might want updater for latter.
Put it in (probably this folder) ~/.spring/mods then you should have mods. (Does the spring lobby not start without mods? Or does it only give that message?)
