Spring RTS Engine

ok i found a custom unit pack for original TA and spring says it supports the unit format of the original TA but if it is possible to do this then where pray tell would you put the custom unit pack files in spring? i didnt see this topic anywhere so if it already exists sorry lol. your help will be much appreciated.

not really, there's no support for GAF file textures and animations so some conversion is necessary. Then there are a handful of quirks in behaviours that've changed regarding cob and tags.

Adding your own units the OTA way would also desync your games with other players in the lobby, and could interfere with nonTA content.

ah ok thanks for your help! oh and uh is there any sort of tool or something i could use to convert them?
