need to get rid of a few trees... and sort out some heightmap probs...

Get it here. Please bear in mind that at the moment the vertical serface climbing error still happens, but it will be fixing in next spring release (hopefully soon

More screens with teh height map and trees fixed... dont know if i'll leave it at this time of day...
However... tahts the only good news.
THE BAD NEWS:
Spring seems to have a large problem with near verticl serfaces. IE all the units can climb them. but get this... only on 2 out of 4 sides...?!?!?!
Even weirder though, on the two sides they can climb the verticle serfaces on, they cant climb the slopes either!?!!? What the hells up with that...
So i might have to send to the sy's or somthing to see if they can explane whats going on.

PS: zwzsg... please delet the texture you used for the grass on that map... please... Its just rong... so rong (the pyramids are cool though...)

zwzsg if its legal try stealing halo 1's grass off blood gultch if at all possible if you ever want that map to look nice. i really look forward to this map especially not lieing either.

Ugh, the blood gulch textures sucked so much, and they only looked remotely decent because of the huge amounts of bumpmapping in halo. Steer clear of that ugly texture...

Humm, good point... I shall have to ask what people like:
Do you want Evening (like last 3 pics)
Mid-day (like first)
or morning (which would be duller, but less dull that evening...)
What would people like to play it on?

I like both midday and evening...call me a fanboy but i'd love to see 2 maps stemming from this (although the only difference would be the sm2 files i'd prefer two seperate maps for convienance) just call one Core_Pyramids_Midday the other Core_Pyramids_Evening

Looks beautiful already! Maybe there could be an epic sized one with lots of pyramids, and a smaller one for the quick skirmish game? Just shooting some ideas out there, i'll play it no matter what :D

I would release it but for teh error with the vertical srfaces... I dont mind that they look odd close up so much as i hate the way it ruins teh pathfinding on the map...
If you want this map send the SY's a message saying can you look into the problems with Near Verticcal serfaces!

Now i actually thought that AVP the movie would of been better if it had the mariens from Alines... and was rated R! I NEED SKINNED BODYS and REAL cheasbursting sceans. Otherwize it was a pretty dumb but better the Freddy Vr. Jason. And AVP made more scence then Freddy Vr. Jason... and FVJ Really buggs me!
The map? Oh yeah, sure it was fine...
and by fine i like the dusk look, but the pryamid needs to be more... Necron

And now i have tested it with Mini-Spring and i can only say one thing
HOLY SHIT! That looks SOOO cool! The scaling of the comander V the Pyramid is perfect! It creats a great feeling of grandure. Now make the pryramid twice as tall and then the map will be even cooler! Or maby you could have a maze at the top... i want animated maps!
Seriously, animated maps would add a huge dimension to the game. You could make a rubix cube of a map, compleat with maze's that change shap and reconfigure themselves!
