Spring RTS Engine

I have a nvidia 8600GT and what not, on a vista computer
When I run spring, it works fine, the tests work fine and everything is good, its in windowed and at 800x600 on medium graphics.
When I host a game with bots it runs, starts and loads XTA but just after it asks for me to place my start location it crashes. I have heard somepople say its the AI, so I downloaded a new AAI and it doesn't help and the other AI's won't let the game start, any ideas?

try kaik, and try a diffrent mod

yes aai has some problems finding a start pos

You could also use SpringLobby's Single Player mode and place the Ai wherever you like on the map before the game starts.
