Spring RTS Engine

Hey there, ive come back to play spring after over a year and im getting some wierd screen issues in game.
-I have no text just blue squares in place of them.
-there appears to be no textures on the units, just a basic outline.
-i have no cusor visible on screen
i have installed the ota content pack and put it in the spring/base folder, and now im lost for what to do...

do i need to have the original total annihilation installed to have spring running properly?

e: no need for ota, just download ba, its the mainstream mod and it includes otacontent.sdz

Ah my sys specs are, 3500+, 1GB ram, 6600GT, and 3 HDD running Winx64.
None of this should be an issue sine a year ago i was playing on the exact same system, minus one hard drive.
The only thing that has really changed since then is the way the game is installed and all the content required.

i read something like that well, ok:

If you are desynced, get otacontent and place it into base folder in spring:http://spring.jobjol.nl/show_file.php?id=860

but i have no idea what you should do, but you can try installing http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp64_175.16_whql.html if you dont already have it, its the latest winxp 64bit 6000+ driver
