Problem starting a singleplayer game

I am using ubuntu 7.1 and downloaded spring from the repository.
I installed some maps and the ca mod.
Now it gives my the sound/button9.wav Couldn't open wav file
error.
I found the solution to that on the install page but it does not work.
I dont have the base/springcontent.sdz in my .spring folder.
I did never install it before so it really should not be there.
What to do now?

Thanks for your answer but none of these did help.
And i do not know if i should really make a bug report.
That singleplayer stuff is just confusing since the spring lobby has a singleplayer menu where you can set map mod and ai. Doesnt that usually work?
I've installed spring according to that guide:
http://spring.clan-sy.com/wiki/Ubuntu_install
Downloaded the CA mod from here
http://spring.jobjol.nl/ (took the newest version they have there)
On that very install guide my problem is listed in troubleshooting.
But the answer they give does not work
Ps: what does the your first line mean?

yes, springlobby singleplayer works 100% and unlike springSP, it's crossplatform and supports map/mod options and luaai
for your problem, i think you're missing
OTA content

working is different from "has finished"
i think i'll edit the wiki and remove that entirely, lot of people gets confused by it, also the information that in the future it might be OTA free is useless in the moment you install because it still needs it, for the future it can be edited again

There is an instruction missing that you should unzip the ota package. That was the problem

O_O
/facepalm
Ok sorry I prolly should have caught this one, but I thought you had already unzipped it (you said you already had otacontent and I assumed you had unzipped it.)...
In spring world:
Zip == GET ME THE FUCK OUTTA HERE!!!!
SDZ/SD7 == NOES, LEAVE ME ALONE! IT'S WARM AND COZY IN HERE!
