Spring Racers was a mod where you FPS control a racer a around a track. I think i might have it..*looks*

hmm too bad, i found version 7, currently trying to fix it for 0.76:)

I wouldn't be the one to delete a Spring mod, especially one I made:

This v9 is way better than v7, for it has HORSIE! For some reasons, it appears to not work under Spring76b1. I guess I have to fix the trick to get if a unit is being FPS'ed once again. But if I haven't posted v10 by tomorrow, then you'd have to do it yourself.



Edit: there, I made the v10. Now works under Spring 76b1. I replaced the FPS'ed detection that was based on some trick weapon by one using the appropriate LUA command.

So disregard previous links and use:
- /mods/Spring_Racers_v010.sd7
- /maps/Spring_Racers_Track_01.sd7


Someone remind me to make racers able to crush trees for next version btw. I forgot once again. Anyway, got to go, I have karting tomorrow.

Zwzsg made it. That's usually a good indication.

Graphically, it's very ugly. It direly lack good models and maps.

Technically, it's an interesting curiosity to see Spring turned into a racing game.

Gameplaywise, you'd be better of downloading and playing TrackMania.

hey, but it is still a racing game. how awesome is that? i think it needs to be a mod crossover game
eg. IW scout bike
EE spider bot guy
etc
