The website (yes, again)

So someone has some free time (finally) and is interested in the new website...
I made another layout and wanted some feedback... If you like it I'll try to put it into
AFs site (but first I'll need to learn how).
The old layout is
here.
As you can see, I kept the square red logo AF made but it's less shiny and doesn't look blurry when small.
So... yeah, now I want your opinion to make me spend more time on this or leave it alone.

If you could send me sources I'd like to take that front page apart and piece it back together on my site.
I would point out the logo is a modified 2nd gen logo not a 3rd gen.
And Ill probably sort out something similar to the bar thing at the top of the page with the little icon and a title.
I'd also like to nab those buttons for the top menu since people are always going on about those...
edit:: lol Im sorry for ransacking your design, but at least I now have an idea for a frontpage that looks quite good and doesn't require much modification.
However I would move the horizontal band of screen shots into a vertical column to the left of those wide links.

I loved your original design, so this is also very awesome! I prefer the banner to be neutral but yeah, I love it.

I'll put the source files online tomorrow. Everything is so messy right now and I don't want to put it all in order now. D:
The banner is supposed to change when the page is refreshed!

That's very good looking design wise, especially with the concept of rotating content on refresh.
Should allow game makers to submit a picture through some sort of review process so that all games can be fairly represented so long as they can make a good enough banner.

That can easily be done via php, as long as the banner wasn't cached by the browser, but I have an idea on how to do it so it doesn't reload the same image over and over again and it doesn't cache the same image showing, probably a really simple thing to do.

Thats great, would be awesome to see it as our new website.

But I have to admit I like your "old layout" even more.

RTFFourms, but yeah it needs a news section.
Anyways, what's the todo list for the site AF?
edit: there already is a news section!!

The site would have been deployed by now if it wasn't for the empty wiki.

While this design is more workhorse, I think I preferred the original one for visual impact.

The original design however had various flaws that were based in its design rather than its aesthetics. I think this new design however has the necessary elements for the front page, and I shall add news at the bottom.

I think this is a better design. Not quite as flashy, but it looks 100% more functional. Great work RoflCopter!

TBH, I hadn't noticed. You're right, though, there's my little jet up at the top. Sorry, I was actually just looking at the structure, which is a lot like the design I proposed in the contest.

lolphotoshop?
It does look very nice. Doesn't leave any room on the main page for a decent amount of useful information tho.
