Spring RTS Engine

Hello,

I own 2 Total Annihilation games, but I didn't play it for like 5 years. Now, that I found Spring, which I also played for a very long time. Doesn't work anymore.. After I make like 20 Units, I lagg like hell.

Anyway, is there a way to get Total Annihilation? Where can I download it? I can't download it illegaly, because I already OWN 2 COPIES!

people cannot post a link to a TA download as that would be software piracy, something that is strictly prohibited here on the forum.

why ? why doesnt it work?

Well, I could always play Spring normaly. I remember I had like 500 units crashing into the other base without any lagg. Now when I get like 20 Peewees, and attack the enemy on the map Devined haven or something, the basic map. It laggs like hell! I have tried to play it on everything on low. But it still laggs. I hate my computer, how can you lagg if you just completely cleaned it by uninstalling your /c etc and reinstalling Windows.

Note, also C&c 3 laggs now at some points, also when I get like 20 units.

Anyway, too bad I can't get it then, I found some hope after I found TA3D, Guess what -.-. I needed the FIRST CD. And I have the second one, two times

If you have a nVidia card, try turning threaded optimization off in the nvidia control panel, solves the problem for alot of people.

I have a Nvidia card yes, but where's that control panel?

I'm not the wizard of ozz when it comes down to computers

it should be in the windows control panel - my computer > control panel > nvidia control panel

maybe he didnt installed the driver? or sometimes it might be hided

Download and try TA3D when you have finish to update your graphic drivers.

I don't like TA3D and I'm going to try the graphic card thingy you guys told me (Which was nice to do) Lets hope it works

Do you have an Apple or something. I don't see any buttons that you are talking about.

I am Dutch though, so maybe their names are different.

I can get in this thingy where I can see my cards and my monitor stuff ETC.

I did that, went to Medion, the site. (I have a notebook, they have special cards) But.. There isn't anything called GeForce, but there are drivers for my laptop he says.

Also, Cabbage said something @ control panel, would mind explaining it?
