At the very beginning what unit do you think you see hobbling at the very right behind that tree? I think it's a Can although the walking animation really is sort of strange...

Your guess's as good as mine...

Looks kinda like a mech with a large gun strapped to the top.

Well my problem only with it is that imo the unit you see hobbling around in the middle background of that first scene seems like a Can to me too (even much more). Maybe watch it in high quality to have a better look on it. Shape, colors & animation sort of fit to the Can imo...

Well that video is full of niceties and errors anyway. I like that Pyro in the background although spotting errors also is a nice task. For now I've found the plane that passes the viewer at the end of the very first scene spawns out of nowhere when the AK walks through the screen. Then there is the Commander hunting the Peewee firing with the wrong arm. I mean you could be of different opinions which arm fires the laser but the fact is the Com keeps its left arm in that crippled position aiming nowhere towards the Peewee while the right arm aims straight ahead...

The next thing I noticed is the Core Com's head popping into the standard position at the end of that close-up scene. A final thing I don't understand is why the Arm Com shuts down his gun when the Core Com turns around. It's kinda silly. Everyone knows you have to wait a while for cloaking after you have used your gun...

I just gave a look at arms video as well. It seens that core gets some emphasis, as arm victory is just a arm commy stomping into a near death core commy upon a gigant pile of wreck :)

I'm pretty sure it's a sumo, cause it has 2 tiers of height if you pay attention.

The laser shots are fired from the left arm, you can easily see the flares coming out of it...

The sumo wasn't released yet, it was a downloadable... and it has 4 legs.

The dgun was more failing then shutting down I thought?

Sumo was downloadable? I thought it was CC. Oh well, I have a very poor memory for what is what in the TA timeline.

At the time this was made I doubt the designs and models were finalised and so things look different in general.

Yeah - that's the point. Here you probably can see a compromise in terms of time lack as you still can see the com's shape in the fog and he doesn't really move the left arm and so it keeps aiming to some random location but nowhere to the front and i.e. nowhere towards the Peewee...

Well Arm's end still is way better than Core's...
Although both are fail because well they stand next to each other and one kills the other one off and ... ehm ... yeah ... let's call it a draw... ^^

You can't really see if the arm moved to aim since it's totally obscured by fog but you can clearly see the flares coming out of the left (core commanders perspective) hand. I'd say the error is possibly in aiming the wrong hand but still fireing anyway from the left, not that the wrong right arm is actually fireing.

The fido in the Arm video looks pretty similar to the one in the Core video, just the animation looks different.

Well the beginning scene imo just shows Core units ruling Arm's Homeworld. If one of those units were an Arm unit there would be some shooting and the AKs wouldn't run over so relaxed just as the aircraft...

Maybe one of those two background units really is something that didn't make it into the OTA game...
