I tried to install spring on my newly ubuntu laptop, (running 7.10, its an old laptop i repaired, and since it has only a single 2.0 ghz processor and 512 mb ram, i putted ubuntu on it) Now, as i <3 spring, i would like it on linux.

I used this tutorial (http://spring.clan-sy.com/wiki/Ubuntu_install)

The problem is now that in the Synaptic Package Manager, i get an error when trying to select the 3 paks for install, spring, spring-lobby-springlobby, and spring-maps-default.
The error is :

Code: Select all

spring:
Vereisten: spring-engine but it is not going to be installed
Vereisten: spring-lobby-springlobby but it is not going to be installed or
	spring-lobby

spring-lobby-springlobby:
Vereisten: libwxbase2.8-0 (>=2.8.4.0) but it is not installable
Vereisten: libwxgtk2.8-0 (>=2.8.4.0) but it is not installable

i dont know much, lets say i don't know anything about ubuntu, so i have no idea how to fix this, hopefully some people can help me out here.

thx

miki

You need to upgrade to Hardy (8.04) if you want to use the Hardy packages.
