Spring RTS Engine

Ok, AFLobby is supposed to be a temporary name, and I've not really thought of a new name for it. So Id like to see what you guys can come up with.

Do bear in mind that AFLobby is not just for spring, so names like 'uber spring lobby' or 'spring Lobby client' are inappropriate. The glest users wont be too thrilled by it and my eventual plans to support other game engines such as TA will be borked by such a name change.

Something that has a short snappy accronym too would be nice. Ill sort out logos and artwork etc once I have a new name. ^_^

Make sure the full words behind those letter get forgotten. Then you get a short, mysterious, pronouncable, name.

Make the name a word, not an abbreviation. Abbreviations suck, unless you're a programmer and love abbreviations.

If you do want a programmer abbreviation, how about Common Extensible Real Time Strategy Lobby Client Package? CERTSLCP!

...but really, I suggest something following the model of A... Lobby (or possibly A... F... Lobby). Heck, drop the lobby if you want. "Absolut" was the first thing to come to mind, probably because I was in a very boring class and wanted alcohol. The name does sound sexy, though!

I agree fi I had a nice short one word name it would be better.

But I like big imposing names more, like I dunno 'Titan'.


Before anybody thinks of it, AFLobby was originally called 'Apex' before I decided to change it. I dunno maybe Apex is better but Im sure there's a better one out there.

I personally like apex, but along with the name is should signify in some way or another what it is or what it does.
