Terrible, more like.

I rented Cooking Mama with my wife for the Wii once. The game was kinda like a really, really, really bad version of Wario Ware, but with a cooking theme and an announcer with a hilarious accent.

The youtube vid doesn't show the most miserably wiimote-uncooperative scenes, or the bits that have much more long-winded introductions. Early on, the game is worse than Armored Core for an appalling play-to-prepping ratio, and at least Armored Core paid out with good gameplay.

Like most early Wii games, they were still feeling out the Wiimote. I've got Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz which is a perfect example - some of the party-games in the bundle are awesome (a moderately good FPS, good Kart game, and some Monkey Ball classics) whereas others are just unplayably awful.
