I feel your pain.

I've had a patient once who had his wisdom teeth removed, wasn't a pretty sight. Neither were the oversized bracers.

But now let me laugh at your misery while I present you my completely healthy wisdom teeth.

I had to get 6 perfectly healthy teeth pulled out, and one of them just wouldn't come out. The dentist had his pliers in my mouth tugging this tooth for a good 3-4 minutes before it came out. The root had a slight curve to it which stopped it coming out straight. It was good times

Mine were overgrown with Flesh . so after 3-4 Minutes, he had to breakit out piece for piece - 1 1/2 hour long and i look like a hamster now

I only had to remove 4 teeth, cause my teeth were too big and thus there was no more space for tooth in my mouth, but the growing ones didnt cared :) I had a lot more luck in the removal than you guys tough :)

.. I was in Morrowind-coma at the time, think i played for a week and a half with only food and rudimentary sleep

I had to get all 4 wisdom teeth removed. Not fun.

Prior to the operation, my mother and I went to consult with the oral surgeon. The guy was very arrogant and annoying. My mother specifically said that she didn't want me to get general anaesthetic, only local. The surgeon basically said that he didn't care and that he was going to put me under anyways.

When I went for the operation, I sat in the chair and the nurses started the sedation. The surgeon then walked in - in a Hawaiian shirt and bahama shorts. I damn near jumped out of the chair and walked out, needles in my arms or no needles.

Afterwards, the surgeon refused to prescribe any pain medicine of any worth - he basically gave me extra strength Tylenol. I was pissed that I missed a good money-making opportunity on painkillers, because it didn't even hurt much afterwards.

The surgeon refused to use sedation for me since that would mean I could still twitch unconsciously, the op was near a nerve and she'd risk severing it.

If you want only local you should've gone to a regular dentist, those aren't allowed to use general. I had to specifically go to a surgeon to get general instead of local (two attempts at local failed and I panicked so general had to be used).

Panicked? Was the general on your head then? :)

I dont remember well, but I think it took only around 1 minute of shaking
to remove each tooth, but I removed each on a diferent week, so it was a whole month of tooth pain

Also nice, the Not-allowed-to-Do-List: you get afterwards. No Sports (which includes no sex, no wii-playing, no fast moves or pulse driving at all)
- no tobaco , no alkohol, no milk, no tea, no coffee
- and so on...

Gives you a Idea how Methusalem must feel..

Wii playing for things like Metroid or Mario is okay I think, not that I was able to do that since I needed to use one hand to hold the cooling pack.

How long did you use cooling packs kdr?

Three days as the doc ordered me to. Forced myself to stop using them after that.

Whoa, you guys have bad luck. Only thing the doc told after after was "Dont drink anything hot today, and would be good if you drinked something cold" :)

I got a single tooth pulled. It was absurdly easy: Inject some Novocain, then a few yanks, then it was done.
