Spring RTS Engine

i cant seem to find a way to syncronize in the lobby battle window. i am computer illiterate as in im not vary good with computers. i turned off all my firewalls and it still wont sync. i need help i dont know what to do.

Oh it's not a firewall problem - you can be out of sync if you don't have the map/mod/OTA content.

To get OTA content, check the download guide (http://spring.clan-sy.com/wiki/SetupGuide) for your distribution, it'll say at the bottom how to get it.

As for maps/mods, you can find them on this website: http://spring.jobjol.nl/subcategory.php?id=1 - and you save the mods into ~/.spring/mods (let me know if you'll have troubles locating that), and maps into ~/.spring/maps.

For starters, I'd recommend getting the BA (http://spring.jobjol.nl/show_file.php?id=926) and the CA (http://spring.jobjol.nl/show_file.php?id=930) mods, and some of the maps you see being played online.

Yeah, sounds like Mac users, except they use OS X.

We probably should make it more obvious when you need to get the map/mod in the lobby client. Right now it just gives you (and everyone else) an unexplained "out of sync" error, which is needlessly confusing.
