Super Smash Bros. Brawl is out today. If reviews thus far are at all accurate, and the game is anything at all like its Gamecube predecessor, Brawl is worth buying a Wii for.

Ultimately, Brawl, Corruption, Zelda, and Galaxy alone continue to carry this console, though it's almost unfortunate they had to release SSBB right now, at a time when the Wii is still selling consistently above store cost on eBay.

If you, like me, rate a console based on the number of +90% average-reviewed, exclusive games, Wii continues on top with its 4 (aforementioned, RE4Wii is, obviously, not included), compared with 360's respectable 2 (Halo 3, Forza 2. GoW ported to PC, Mass Effect soon to be ported to PC), and PS3's zero.

brawl looks pwnsome ive owned the other 2 SSB and theyve both been great this one looks even better

I only ever played the first smash bros, but it was freaking good, so a game that is the same except everthing is better must be FREAKING good :)

Wikipedia tells all the characters, but I don't think you really want to ruin it for yourself. There's a ton of them, pretty much every single character from all the previous games plus at least another 30%.

I assure you. It is pure awesome rolling in excess pawn. The urge to plug in GC controllers so that I don't suck as bad is difficult to resist though... its so hard to get used to using the nun chucks! I'm still pressing up-A instead of up-B... or just B instead of up-B... both end with an early death. Arg, I've got to get into online shape faster!

Well I use a complex sophisticated method of rating a system:

Console has a game in smash bros. series = 10
Doesn't = 0

5 characters from earlier games do not appear.

Aren't they just carbon-copy characters? Honestly I'd rather see a few of those eliminated rather than see them get carried on needlessly. I'm not very far in the game right now but it seems like the different fighters are all pretty different usually.

Also! Much to my shock! I played this on a wiimote turned sideways and it works shockingly well! SHOCKINGLY! It's a little tricky to jump sometimes... probably something you adjust to.... but just now I tried to play on a GC controller and I couldn't! This is despite me playing Melee for the better part of my teen years.

I'm almost to the point where using the nun-chucks feels natural... not quite as much hitting wrong buttons anymore. And I manage to jab the joystick in the right direction AND at the right time at least 60% of the time now!

Well... I thought, why not try it. Until that point I hadn't really thought about using him since he doesn't look like the fighting type.

Holy crap. I think he's the best character in the game. His regular attacks aren't great but as one of his specials, he pulls a motorcycle out of his ass and runs over everyone. No limit to how long you can ride it, but you fall off if you get hit. Meanwhile it's like a smash attack for everyone you hit. When you do fall off, you can pick up the motorcycle and throw it at someone. Then you can eat the pieces to charge up your fart attack. This is the wierdest game I've ever played.

Battle Arena Toshinden (early 3D fighter) had an oldman character named Fo who had two special flaming fart attacks.

Didn't have motorcycle eating though, now did it?

I give this game a zero because you can't even see your own HP, wtf. I think that even if this game had Master Chef it would get an 8. Only because his shooting is awesome. the controls feel wierd and when i kept pushing up on the wiimote my man kept moving left? Worst game ever.
