LOL yes I really have 0.50b2 installed (or else I wouldn't be able to play on-line at all).

I really have AA installed, otherwise I wouldn't get e.g. dragon's eyes on the comm menu, or lemmings in the ARM Veh Plant (vital unit) =)

I really had loads of disabled units in the battle room...

And the guys I was playing with last night really said they'd got AA 5.2 (which would explain the disabled units)

Anyhow, thanks for trying to help guys.

I guess all I really need is the 5.2 version of AbsoluteAnnihilation.ccx ?

Any help appreciated =)

PS yes I will ask in the battleroom next time... it just takes so long for there to be an AA game, I want to be ready to play when it happens again!

Hi,
Thanks for this but unfortunately both the "available" mirrors given on this site give me "file not found" messages when I click on the links. Also, there is no mention of spring on here, either in the release notes or the readme - this looks like it's for Cavedog TA not spring?

Is there anywhere else I can get it, and if I do find it, how do I plug it into spring?

Thanks for your help - I do appreciate it!

Cheers

Here's the problem: there's only been one version of AA released for Spring, since in my opinion Spring isn't up to snuff yet for AA. For AA to be playable in Spring, I need at the very least paralyzers, no barrels flying off, and for Spring to be able to read unit-specific damage in weapon tdf files. Until those things are possible, no more AA for spring. The one version I did make is basically the best AA can possibly be until these features are fixed/available.

Any new versions of AA you download are INCOMPATIBLE with spring.

Barrels flying off is your own incompetant scripting, and unit-specific weapons damages are easy. I have a small Python program you can use to setup armor.txt for individual units if you would like to use it.

Poke me on MSN and I'll guide you through it.

You'll need Python though!

Thanks

Caydr doesn't script. He mostly goes thru the 200+ units tweaking weapon types, target types, damage etc. So what he sais is right, for AA to work as it's designed to Spring needs to evolve a bit further- I mean, it's really pre-beta, amazing it works as well as it does.
