moderation.

The moderation staff is priding itself for having strong principles and modding ethics but some players get unbanned after they post an unban request in the forums and some do not even though both breached the rules in the same manner.
The difference was that the first are players that are known by the moderator and the later are not.
Basicly the first will get a nu nu nu comment and be unbanned and the other will stay banned.
Either this be corrected and all will get the same treatment based only on how "bad" was their behaviour or I here by announce that the moding is done unfairly based on whether the mod knows the player well or not.

In fact in Spring's community where players and moderators are very close and some moderators playe the game constantly i think players that the moderators are in close contac with should even get stronger punishment than the anonymous joe to show that the moderation is not biased in any way
[the players that are known well by moderator should have even higher respect fot the spring rules than others since the moderator/s is their inet buddy].

i am asking of the ALL moderators to act in a fair manner from now on so that their outhority is justified and their actions cannot be questioned.

This is especially important if the community wants to keep growing in numbers.
Moderators that cannot act in a correct manner should be replaced by other more capable and conscientious individuals.

I would say that we move towards a more transparent process but I do not think a big edrama will do any good, its just causing trouble.

I don't know which moderators you have issues with, but I've noted similar issues. I think I've turned in my man card by muting another moderator, actually... not sure about that.

Isn't it quite obvious, that if a moderator knows someone requesting an unban is a decent guy and usually behaves, he will get an unban easier than an unknown player?

like 99% of the people who post unban request on the forum get unbanned, stop making shit up.

I'd say with mightysheep and that other guy who are always banned the chance of getting unbanned when nobody knows you is actually higher.

I was never banned nor gave cause to be banned.
Im not making points for my own sake but based on observed behaviour.
of course it feels natural that you shuld unban your spring buddy without second though but leave others banned but im saying a truly good moderator will not base his decisions on that.

Stop being so passive agressive, it's ridiculous that you'd insult people who are supposed to be your peers in public.

Please stop with the all high and mighty horse. Taking the moral high ground when sitting in the pits of hell is not a good idea. Just because your moral high ground is higher than the imp and demon next door doesnt mean you've breached the surface.

Just wanted to get it to the "public's" attention.
Done.

Yeah I would say you're wrong.

People get unbanned/unmuted when they ask for it regardless of who they are. Even if they don't, the ban and mute durations are pretty short.

Spring's moderation *wants* you to break the rules, frequently.
