Does anybody have any suggestions for reducing lag? Don't say reduce your settings; I have done that already.

... get a better CPU? Upgrade to XP SP3 for a 10% speed boost or switch to linux? Play with fewer players, ensure the person with the fastest CPU is hosting?

Invent a Teleporter... then we can all have a big LAN party in Florida... work out a good quantum networking protocol so we can put our computers in the antarctic tundra and we can overclock them a whole lot.

Rewrite the code base entirely in assembly.

(sorry, I'm sure someone knowledgeable will post a link to a topic on this subject that someone else has responded to.)

Do not rewrite in assembler, real programmers use only machine code.

Hmm, remove firewalls, virus scanners, and other useless programs while you play.
And move out from Asia., maybe Africa too and Australia (is that in asia?)
Get at least 1/1 meg connection.
Get more memory.
Defragment your harddrive.
Get rid of routers.

Dunno other ways :/
