it shouldnt try to balance clan players at same team by default, IMO its not fair and makes it unbalanced.

fail. People in clans want to play together.

no?
usually clan players are good, otherwise they wouldnt be in a clan, which why it is unbalanced if clan players are all at same team, and other random skill level star players are at other team.
clan players can also teamplay much better, because they are used to play together, and knows each other well, which is another reason why it shouldnt be default to put clan players at same team...
balance button should make teams as balanced as possible, not as fun as possible for clans.
its boring to see how clan team always pwns the random player team...

LCC started out as random players who liked playing with each other and started beating clans.

Perhaps the formula could favour the side with no clan. Sort of a handicap for bad teamplayers

or we could just balance the teams without trying to put clan players at same team. or putting as many clan players both sides...

I'll agree with LordMatt on this being the worst idea ever.

What is worst idea? i didnt quite get what you agreeing into.
You mean clan players should be on same team because clan players have a privilege to have more fun than others?

Yes, you should be allowed to play with your friends, and thus have more fun than people who do not.

Imo just give clan players +1 (or +2) in their rank (only in the balance formula) so the team with the clan gets lower ranked 'random people'..
It would also help in cases where there are 4v4 matches with 8 star players and 2 clans à 2 players.. The way it is now the two clans could be on the same team which doesn't really make any sense if the other 4 players aren't in any clan..
But since I never play, I guess I can't really say anything here

The problem with that is, there's nothing that says clan players are better than your average players, or even teamplay well. Most clans I've seen suck at both the game and teamplay, the good clans are the exceptions for clans, not the rule, imo. As such, artificially increasing clan players rank can screw up balance, badly.

noob clans exist which probably r worse than random people playing together

No, clan players shouldnt be an exception. We shouldnt discriminate those who arent in a clan. Its like we start discriminating people by their country flag.
What next, should we put same countries at same side too? Shouldnt they be allowed to have more fun together because they can speak mothertongue together?
This doesnt really make sense, if you wanna play with your clan mates, you can host own game, and press that "balance clan players at same side", it SHOULDNT be default setting.
And what pisses me off, that it is default to balance clan players to same side, and that it doesnt remember my choice, i have to always uncheck it again.

Why not some kind of a ranking? Ranking with some scores, not games playied (at least based on games won/lost ratio, better on some ingame statistics). This will give info about how good the player is.
btw. ladder games ain't popular...

Or..... why not just put that "balance clan players at same side" checkbox unchecked by default?
No need to do anything else than just change 1 to 0, just one frigging value and thats all...
Again, i dont understand how anyone else would want to put clan players at same side than those clan players? really seriously, think about it, would anyone really want to give them advantage? games should be balanced as balanced as possible to give fun to all, not only clan players. damn. this is why i hate clans, they are so f****** egoistic b******* who thinks they are better than others and needs special treatment.

The whole point of a clan is to play together...

That point sucks in the meaning of good balance.

Good clans, bad clans, smurfs, idling noobs with high rank - it all makes games unbalanced in different way. I don't know why you see only problem with clans.
IMO spring lack some way to measure player "quality". In supcomm, starcraft there are points. In some games there is win/loss ratio. Number of disconnects during the game. If you had these statistics, autobalance in the client could solve all (most) of these problems. Not only clan ones.

You're saying people who wants to play together shouldn't be allowed to play together or should go host their own games. That kind of elitist attitude sure has to get Spring more players
You're just making up a problem that in reality, just doesn't exist, are you just angry other people got friends and you do not?
I've seen a total of maybe 10 games ruined by clan balancing, 2 games were caused by autobalance. If I had been the host in any of those games, it would've taken me zero effort to manually balance. Autobalance isn't supposed to be perfect, only manual balancing can hope to be perfect.
That and most clans do not teamplay, or even play, well.
