Spring RTS Engine

I saw something about the core vs. uef mod on this forum somewheres, but now its showing up on youtube and is aparently in active development. The person who is making it is French or Canadia or from some other french-speaking place. I was wondering who was making this.

Here is a gameplay video. I laughed at that terrible air transport.

Some effort has gone into this, but sadly this is far from completion, hence the borkedness of things.

By the way Arghs PURE transport shows that behaviour too, s do many other multi unit transports, but most get away by hiding the units being transported. Don't be too quick to knock him.

I almost have the air transport in PURE fixed, btw... all of the big issues with Spring have been resolved, pretty much.

It's probably made by Sinclaire. He started the 'Supcom in TA' mod, and he was french

Sinclaire always seemed to have a more OTAish feel to his models, and from what I saw there, there is too much "roundness" on those models. Also, I believe he lost all his information in a hard drive crash, so unless the models in this mod match up with the few that were released in an early alpha of the Supcom4TA, then its not him.

Hmm, on that same forum I see posts by Sinclaire, and by the famous emmanuel.

And because stealing the IP of two RTSes at once isn't enough, there's also a starcraft mod under work there.

tbh there not stealing enuff IP they need to steal more !!

To be honest you shouldn't deride their stealzoring when 95% of games in Spring lobby are based on stolen Atari IP.

Pretty planes.

The models lack some hard edges, which is what makes them look like rounded plastic toys.

max71 is 14 ... (according to his french and profile) but he works a lot for his mod :)

do uef tanks suck or do his models?
