Medium deasert Map, More metal in the middle.
Lots of hills, However you can still get your land units through without to much hassel, aslong as you dont tell them to go over the hills... (which is the point of putting the hills there...)
Four Players.. prefrably 2 teams of 2. (Odds V Evens)
Someone was hammering on about no hilly maps...
Screenies:
1: MiniMap
2: Costal View
3: The Middle Ground
4: BATTLE
However... Once again I cant upload the thing... Its 14 Meg. Anyone got somewhere I can put it?
Will that upload still work Gnome?
Thanks.

thanks for fixing the edges of the map. I am glad you didn't leave the edge all flat and give it a way of sloping off :).

I think he is saying that the hills don't look natural. Which has a bit of substance. Try variating their heights a bit, as well as variating the way they climb. Also try variating the texture (and by texture, I don't mean the image used, I mean the nature of the ground) to something more rugged, rather than being a smooth curve...

maps need some more flat area's so we can build stuff

Exactly. Sure, this kind of maps look nice, but recetly we've seen a lot of "oo, look at this shiny new engine, let's see what it's capable of without thinking".
For gameplay reasons we really need more wc3/ccg type maps.

Actually I haven't tried it
I mean in general, and this thread happened to be on top.
I doesn't look very flat by judging from the pictures though.
