Spring RTS Engine

This is very annoying when I log on and start reading threads and go to post only to find that when I post I'm logged out and I loose all ym unread markers. This really p*sses me off.

I don't like spending an hour looking through the forums at timestamps to figure out what's new and what isn't when the same thing could take me 10-20 minutes with the markers.

What's going on?

I think losing your net connection and reconnecting causes that, not sure.

It also happens when you restart your browser and yes its annoying.

odd, because msn didn't log out and the logout issue is confined to the spring forums.

And my router can't disconnect and reconnect in 1/2 a second.

And my browser didnt restart although if you accidentally close firefox via a shutdown or a reboot and it restores your session you sometimes stay logged in.

PHPBB bug, it's damn annoying too. Happens to me on smoth's site, oddly enough, not here.

Maybe open all the stuff you want to read in tabs, before starting to read it?

Then I'd have hundreds of tabs open. And if anybody replies while I'm reading and I'm logged out then it's missed entirely.

Not hundreds, but it is a solution. Cup's forum used to do that to me and it was pretty annoying. Maybe try clearing your cookies or something?

Probably some session that expired... happens like once month on the average to me and yes, it's annoying.

Odd... I can't remember it ever happening to me here though. Guess I'm just that lucky.

Just happened to me right after I went to the forum. I think this was the first time though.

My post was deleted, probably because the mods want to protect more of AF's soft skin. (Skin so soft because he uses Skin So Soft!)

Basically, AF bitched me out for asking almost exactly the same question about two months ago.

I deleted it because it was blatant trolling of AF.

I can find no evidence of such a prior event felix.

Fine, it wasn't exactly the same thing - AF is losing his unread markers, I was not losing them even after reading threads.

AF made a completely unhelpful post that did not respond to my problem and instead served only to increase his postcount and show that he has some irrelevant knowledge about phpBB. And apparently his memory sucks too.
