Is there a way to make your computer run spring better bucause when I play spring I have to play it whith the mini-map full screen or else a battle of 10 or more units makes the fps hit rock bottom?
I have the setings on the lowest graphics settings, everything is as ungraphiclly taxing as possible.

what specs, chances are its a driver problem... I have to turn off threaded optimisation in hte nvida control panel for my 7800GTX else my FPS starts a game in high single didgits and only gets worse, as opposed to 100fps when its working fine.

there is also a handly duel core patch if you have an athlon x-2

Spring runs fine on a 1.2 GHz Athlon with a GF2 and 512/786 MB ram, even 256 MB were still enough.

Lies. I run a 2ghz machine with an ATI 9600, and it hurts when the unit count gets high. Every mouse-click gets sticky, and the game crawls.

A dell with a 2.4GHz Celeron and no video card probably has the 845 chipset, with which it is pretty much impossible to get more than 15 fps in spring.

At around 250+ units and huge bases spring became pretty slow.

1.2Ghz can't handle any game with a decent unit count even in 1v1.

For spring u need meduim gfx card (even 9800pro or 6600gt will do it) but fast CPU (for big games and loads of units )

I do not understand why fighter patrols take so much cpu power. I have 100fps but once i get 500 figters in air i have mere 15fps with slooow mouse. (on 2.2 gig athlon). On other core duo (2*1.8 gig) with crapy gfx i get 25 fps.

Maybe the plane moving code is cpu hungry

edit : try 500 flashes moving around, I bet your cpu will be dead the same. Pathfinding takes a lot of cpu power whatever.

Scan for viruses, forward ports, set affinity to single core, upgrade internet, reinstall spring.

"AMD athlon processor, 1.8 GHz" Is your problem for cpu, slow internet is your problem for ping.
