Remembrance Sunday in UK. Mostly world wars 1 and 2, but applies to everything really.

I did, I overslept half the day and dreamed about busty women in SS uniforms.

I had 2 mins of silence. TBH, I think you should have to have 11 minutes and 11 seconds of silence.

No one acctually counts milliseconds unless it has something to do with technology.

I dont see the point of the minute of silence... what is it for? I mean, not making noise for 1 min wont help anyone nor anything.

Respect mostly. And it serves as a reminder to do your best to try and prevent horrible things like it from happening again.

Also, it's good for some people (including me) to just...shut up for a minuet. Cause I talk talk talk talk all day.

And it's good for people like me to have people like zoombie shut up for a minute :)

/me thinks that respect doesnt needs to be proved, so I dont make minutes of silence. I hardly make sounds anyway :)

Great respect needs to be earnt.

Basic respect should be universal unless proved unworthy, if only to be well mannered and polite so that you don't give the impression your an ass hole.
