Is spring able to use the custom weapon models that many 3rd party units have?
I'm slowly working on a mod for Spring that's a bit...out of the ordinary, and I'm wondering if I can make my lovely weapons show up the way they should, instead of a generic explosive.
Thanks.
Edit: typos

Yes, either post a patch file (most people don't know how to do this), or post instructions on how to replicate your changes into the current source tree.
Also, give them the files necessary to do so too. Zip it all up with instructions and someone at SY will probably test it at some point. Post it in the Patches section on sourceforge.

Well, I don't know how to make patch files (problem #1) and I don't know how to use CVS (problem #2). Also, I haven't kept track of all changes made to the code since the 0.41b1 release (problem #3).
If somebody can help me bypass all these problems, I can send him the code I have and point out what exactly I changed.

Post information on how to replicate what you implimented here. A patch file would work best, but you don't technically need to know how to use it to help spring out. You also don't need to know how to use CVS. Just post (it can be anonymous if you want) the relevant info to the patch list.
Someone will check it out sooner or later.
