Spring RTS Engine

Hi to anyone, how can help me. i´m new to spring (but played old TA on my apple years ago^^) and downloaded some maps, put them in my map folder (C://programme/spring/maps), but none off them appear when i start the game. I tried to decompress them with winrar and that does it, but i have to put all .smt, .smd files a.s.o. in the map folder!!! eventually overwriting some files from other maps....that works but cripple many maps and is a god-damn-it bunch of work. at last the downloaded files are No SD7 or SDZ files....in the preferences it is only declard as "file" I dunno what to do with it rather then decompressing like an idiot.....i would appreciate it, if a.o. can help me!

delete everything in your maps folder, then put the sdz or sd7 files in your maps folder, do not decompress them.

Also, make sure there is a period between the map name and the sd7, UF apparently has a habit of removing them and the files won't work without.

So if you download a file called "digsitesd7" you should rename it to "digsite.sd7".

i forgot the "." in the filename now it works
