Spring RTS Engine

In the light of a recent discussion in the BA forums, I have decided to hold a poll to see what the community thinks of BA's graphics.

This is why I don't like polls.

You take an issue you have no say in, and is not origional, and pose it in such a way that it seems like democracy matters.

There are various reasons why BA currently doesn't use as advanced special effects as other mods, and most of those reasons won't be changed in the lifetime of this poll.

BA would use better effects if it were as easy as a push button solution, rest assured it's not. Not remotely.

This poll is missing the ham sandwich option.

ibtl. want pretty graphics? play CA, or TiA, or The Fifth Millenium. its been stated 1000 times, BA is about the balance, not what the lazurz look like.

I am sorry, but whether its stealing or asking people in other mods for permission, this is a fucking insult to all those other people who make their mod shinier on purpose to get people to try their mod for a change. Of course everyone will say yes, i already donated* a few effects to BA, I even told them i do not like this*, and they should make their own effects like everyone else. I am deeply offended by this poll.

Unless I'm mistaken, since someone made an EA ("Epic Annihilation") we are now on the letter F. This is a good opportunity for someone (like you) to make a new mod, FA, for Flashy Annihilation. What you do is steal effects/models/etc from all the other mods, and use EXACTLY the balance from BA. Then call it FA 6.12 or something, so you have a high version number, its very important. Would be interesting to see if you would get players.

Oo so BA is not allowed to improve because it might make people less likely to play other mods? I don't think anyone involved with BA has ever advocated stealing content from anyone, and if someone chooses to let BA use some of their content, that's their choice not yours.

If I had time on my hands I would traul back through the BA thread(s) and find you a truckload of examples of "LOZL LETZ STEALS" but sadly Im not tired

If it's called flashy annihilation, I demand that flashes recieve a major buff.

Now if only we had some sort of asshole that would steal from all and get it done!

I doubt it was from Day or NOiZE, who are really the only people who matter.

if ba wanted to it would have done so by now. CA uses PD for it's effects and gundam has a mild CC attribution for it's effects. If ba people wanted their mod to not look like crap they would have done it already. However, flashy aka entertaining explosions are not a priority to them.

That's not an argument, that's just BS. Either provide some examples or they don't exist. Also +1 to tombom.

And why is this topic still open, come on mods, its pointless.
