Iron_Craters_V1 New map by cronos

Team and FFA Map 2 to 14 Players created by Cronos 2007 (Gregor Koch)

On this Planet is no natural metal the only metal on the map is in the holes of iron meteor craters.

The rest of the map consists of sandstone and some low variation on the flat planes.

Tools:

Carrara 6 Pro
Coral Painter IX

Texture 8192x8192
Height map 1025x1025 16/32 bit

The first images yes is in game the second on is the slightly edited mini map file to give an overview of the topology with slightly changed saturation

Wow this looks unbelievable.. dont know how it plays but it looks awsome..by the way if you want playable maps dont make tough to move on maps with many trails and obstacles.. it makes for shitty gameplay since all the units get stuc kall the time..
Cronos keep making map!!!maybe try a different type of texture for the next map? how abut a metalic look but not rigid and squary like most metal maps... round and mettalic texture with metal spots..(not a speedmetal map..
Iv been dying for a metallic map with actually nice looking textures and not the old ota ones..but+100 for your work.. really looks great.

Yeah that's what I thought too. Are you sure you're not him? Please stay around he was a big loss to the mapping community IMO.

thats bullshit. obviously there is a point where pathfinding becomes a nightmare, but not everyone wants to play on 1000 clones of Comet Catcher.

This is quite obviously an awesome map, which looks like it might give some nice and varied tactics for both vehicles and kbots.

Thats cause Carrera's texturing style is very much like bryce3d's style.
