Blender is a bitch...

Seriously. All I was trying is to get an occlusion bake done. Well, I imported the model which already had a texture assigned. I created a blank new one in the image window. Then doing the bake. Now when I try to do it again blender just tells me that it can't find an image to bake to. Great, what now? Creating another blank new one didn't work.

I've been fiddling with it for hours only to come to the conlusion that the UI designer needs to be shot and hanged, twice. Grrr...

edit:
Great, must have been some internal error as it works now as intended... :(

edit2:
No, user error. :P
Apparently I have to have the object I want to do the baking on selected in object mode...

Would be horrible if it would autommatically bake the whole scene, I have enough trouble with exporters that do that since I often leave copies of objects in my scene (as backups before major changes) but hidden in other layers.

I was trying to do the bake in UV face select mode.

Is there a way to get rid of the full black parts when parts cover each other?

Shouldn't AmbOcc cause black parts there?

Yeah... I think so because that's what happening. I use lots of overlapping faces. In other words I've got black spots all over the place.

Try using Faogen.

For some stupid reason it doesn't like Wings OBJ exports. However using an export from upspring works like a charm...

edit:
Hum costs money to use. :(
