Map Packs?

Hi, can anyone suggest any good map packs? pretty well fed up downloading individual maps, much preferred when it was integrated into the lobby, and I think it was also easier for newer players :p

Regards!

I don't think there are any up to date map packs. But as Sheekel there is a torrent for all maps:

http://www.unknown-files.net/2254/Torrent_All_maps_UF/

I'm not sure if is still being seeded...

I was going to make a map pack at one time, but then RL got in the way. It still is, but I'll finish it maybe in a month or two. Sorry that doesn't help now. :(

One of my various ideas for an overhauled lobby is to have a simple rating system for maps. When you finish playing a map for the first time, you are presented with a simple dialog - "Would you recommend this map to a friend?" - and a Yes/No choice. By default, the highest-rated map that you don't have is auto-downloaded at lobby startup. (This feature would of course be optional.)

There already is a rating system in the client :P

I'd like to see a number of 'styled' map packs, such as:

"1v1 maps"

"2v2 maps"

"FFA maps"

For replays.

If there's one for maps it's either not in TASClient or buried so deeply that I can't find it even after searching.

There's no auto-download, though :-p

Its a real shame they don't bring back the inbuilt lobby system, I know before it was due to the host and lack of advertising for their bandwidth but I don't see why it can support a mirror system - I mean potentially even I could host all of the necessary file.

Will try that torrent,

Thanks

Click more maps. You can set your score for each map.

I've been seeding one for weeks - it contains 7.9GB of maps. I've put the torrent up here for now.

We must be using different versions of TASClient, as there's no map scoring option on mine.

Does that not work? I've never tried to distribute a torrent before but I assume I just need to give you the same torrent that my client has loaded.
